Also how to color your name! So hi everybody, I’m Lucas and in this video I(try) to teach how to use cheat codes on Black Ops, mine is Wii version, but also works with other consoles. My FC is 2658-7034-4627: brLucas[AG]! Here are the codes: •DOA – Play the super-awesome top-down Smash TV-style Dead Ops Arcade minigame •3ARC INTEL – Unlocks all the intel in the game for viewing (Disables Closer Analysis Trophy/Achievement) •3ARC UNLOCK – Unlocks all levels and Zombie Mode levels •ZORK – Unlocks Zork I: The Great Underground Empire (an incredibly great text adventure from 1980) which you can play on the console (!) •HELLO SAILOR – Unlocks Zork I: The Great Underground Empire (an incredibly great text adventure from 1980) which you can play on the console (!) •HELP – Gives you a list of commands to interface with the console — you can check mail messages and perform other mundane functions, some of which are listed below •DIR – Gives a list of audio files and pictures which you can open with the CAT command (eg CAT NoteX.txt) •WHO – Gives a list of login names for use with the RLOGIN function (but they require a password) •RLOGIN – Log in with username and password (full list of logins below) •FOOBAR – Gives a strange message (“Fee Fie Foe Foo!”) •ALICIA – Loads “Alicia,” a virtual therapist

Free Realms PS3 Will Be Playable At E3 According To SOE.

The Playstation 3 has long promised a slew of massively-multiplayer online games. Sony Online Entertainment announced a long-time ago that the PS3 would usher video games into the MMO-on-consoles era, with ports of Free Realms and their upcoming The Agency and DC Universe Online.

It’s been a long time since those lofty heights were discussed – but now SOE’s dropped the first-hint that the revolution’s coming. Free Realms PS3 will be playable at E3.

The company told Kotaku: “Free Realms for the PlayStation 3 is very much in development and, you heard it here first, fans can be prepared to see the first demo in action in June at E3!”

The question remains: how exactly do you want to play something like Free Realms on PS3? Presumably not on a disc. Do you think it would work as an XMB application?

Sony Online Entertainment expands microtransaction service into EverQuest II, other MMOs

Micro-transactions are making a bigger impact in the major massively multiplayer online market. PoxNora, Free Realms, EverQuest, and EverQuest II are among the titles that will be affected by this new deal.

Sony Online Entertainment and microtransaction service provider Live Gamer announced a service deal this morning that would expand Live Gamer’s real money trading market in PoxNora, Free Realms, EverQuest, and EverQuest II.

The real money trading market is called “Elements.” The software powers microtransactions within games in a way that streamlines a lot of the fuss on both the technical side and the user side of massively multiplayer online games.

If just now you’re going “So what?” consider the fact that three years ago, the only free-to-play MMO anybody had ever heard of was Maple story. Microtransaction models have grown since then, slowly trickling into Western MMOs as more developers consider ditching their subscription-based models to get in on some of the (microtrans)action that Facebook games enjoy (see GamePro issue #258, “The Rise of Facebook Gaming”).

Speaking to GamePro, Live Gamer CEO Mitch Davis broke down the benefits of the deal to users and explained the evolution of the microtransaction model. “This is a business model that’s been popular in Japan and Korean,” he said. “Consoles aren’t as big in Asia, so online games evolved to microtransactions faster [than Western MMOs].”

Thanks to SOE’s partnership, Live Gamer is now powering 125 games globally. Davis said he expects that number to climb to 200 in North America alone before 2010 is out.

“When you look [at a game] like Free Realms, you know it’s good – it’s robust,” Davis said. “Elements enhances that, it provides a very robust microtransaction service for the user.”
